We provide a Dial-a-Ride service for all ages from villages, hamlets and communities in and around Launceston, that have a poor or non-existent bus services. The service can be used to come into town, visit the Library, Leisure Centre, Health Centre, Hospital, Co-op, Tesco as well as Launceston Town Centre. We also run regular excursions.
This service MUST be pre-booked at least 48 hours before you wish to travel.
The scheme has 3 buses one with 11 seats and another 16. All of our buses have seat belts, 2 low steps with hand rails either side for easier access and a tail lift for wheelchairs. Each bus can accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs by removing seats.
A return trip is £3.00, or £2.00 for a single, but you can use your concessionary bus pass — a small charge of 50p for a single & £1.00 for a return does apply.
We run regular excursions to places that have been requested, for example: Truro twice a month, Par Market, Atlantic Village, Rosemoor RHS Garden, Lewannick Film Club and many more.
The buses are also available for hire and have already been used by a wide variety of groups and organisations in the area e.g. Old Cornwall Society, U3A, local schools, Age UK and more.
All drivers and volunteers are trained to the national MiDAS standard and DBS checked.
